The Creators Unit is made up of four creator/performers who work together to create a devised performance. The ensemble was trained in physical theatre, dance, emotionally integrated voice, object work, fashion & styling, drag, and more.

Starlight
STARLIGHT is a dancer, theatre creator and party maker. She’s half of the pop art performance duo xLq (recently premiered their interactive gameshow/pop concert ARE YOU THE ONE? at Downstage Theatre in Calgary). STARLIGHT is a cosmic club kid witch from beyond, host of the queer danceparty WISHING WELL and all-around fun time faerie. STARLIGHT works a lot in disability theatre, and he’s the artistic director of the neurodiverse theatre company The Purple Stage (upcoming production at the Toronto Fringe in July).
I’ve really loved working with this exciting group of dynamic and cutting edge creators. They bring a love for dance, for the absurd, and a devotion to exploring balloons that is playful and passionate.
They really took the training and process that I offered and ran with it, and made it their own. It’s been thrilling to stretch our limits together and break new ground with this piece. The bold choices and the risks are inspiring. I’m so excited for you to see it. Enjoy!
