Have an idea? Let’s get it to the stage.

Have a creative idea you’re ready to bring to life, but aren’t sure how to get it from the page to the stage? Looking to develop your practice alongside a cohort of emerging artists and professional artists?

Applications are now open for Paprika 2027!

Paprika is an opportunity to develop new work, build your skills, and bring your ideas to the stage. Selected artists will receive a $2,500 honorarium, a bespoke training program led by a professional facilitator, free rehearsal space, and the opportunity to present their work as part of the Paprika Festival in May 2027.

No previous professional experience is necessary.

Programs take place in person in Toronto beginning January 2027 and culminate in a performing arts festival featuring new works by emerging artists at Native Earth Performing Arts’ Aki Studio in May 2027.

Ready to take your idea to the next stage? Read on to learn more and apply.

Many thanks to our Lead Festival Partners, TO Live and Native Earth Performing Arts.
