Ainsley Munro

Ainsley Munro (19/20 TD Creators Unit) (she/her) is an actor, writer, singer, and painter who revels in sharing good stories. She grew up in Haliburton and Orillia, Ontario on Huron-Wendat, Haudenosaunee and Anishinabewaki territories and now resides in Toronto in the Dish With One Spoon Territory. A community builder and environmentalist at heart, her creative work primarily focuses on the beauty of ordinary moments, social justice, and empathy for others. She worked with The Otesha Project UK to perform sustainability-focused theatre in schools and community centres across Wales and is currently writing two plays about a mining disaster and a retirement home (a tragedy and a comedy, respectively – both infused with hope). Ainsley gives thanks for the support of her family and the mentorship of Leanna Neal, Shannon Hawke, Jay Pang, Christine Horne, The Howland Company, and many, many artist friends who continually encourage her to speak authentically and let her voice be heard.
