Participants in Design Lab receive hands-on experience and mentorship in lighting, sound, and video design. The program is geared towards emerging designers looking to develop their craft and collaborate with other emerging artists. Participants receive mentorship and masterclasses from professional theatre designers, work with emerging directors and creators, and have their work showcased at the festival. This year, we asked our Design Lab participants to prepare design pitches for one or more of the Directors Lab projects in order to practice putting together that type of presentation when you’re hired on to a production!
