Applications for the 16/17 Advisory Board are now closed.
The Advisory Board is a hands-on leadership training program for young people, led by young people. Members engage with the festival as a creative thinker, planning fundraising events and creative projects to ensure the success of the festival for its participants and audience. From producing, to planning a rad party, to performing administrative tasks, Advisory Board members have a hand in it all, being a vital program of the festival.
Advisory Board Member duties:
-Planning and execution of two fundraising events for the Paprika Festival
-Planning, execution and facilitation of events during the Paprika Festival
-Full participation in The Intersection: a conference for young people in the arts
-Full participation in all Training Days
-Attend and participate in monthly Advisory Board meetings
-Run the Front of House during the Festival
-Contribute to Paprika Festival’s blog
Ideal candidates will have:
-An investment in the well-being of the festival and festival events
-Interest in Arts Administration
-Strong organizational and time management skills
-Effective communication skills
-Enthusiasm for the arts, theatre, and youth engagement
-Have creative ideas to support emerging artists
-Strong initiative and willingness to learn
